ACI Mobile Application Privacy Addendum
This section applies specifically to the ACI Mobile App (Alabama Correction Industries) Package ID: com.aci.aumc, a free mobile application available on iOS and Android devices.
1. Information Collected & System Permissions
To facilitate state contract purchasing, quote requests, and order fulfillment, the ACI Mobile App may request access to the following hardware and user information:
- Camera Access: The ACI Mobile App requests device camera access exclusively to scan optical shipping barcodes on received ACI packages for fast reordering. Camera image frames are analyzed in real time on the device; video streams and photos are never recorded, uploaded, or stored.
- Push Notification Device Tokens: With your permission, the ACI Mobile App registers a unique, anonymized push token (via Apple APNs and Google Firebase Cloud Messaging) solely to dispatch operational alerts regarding your work order approvals, job status changes, and shipping dispatches.
- Electronic Proof Signatures: When approving digital prepress proofs, authorized users may provide a touch-screen signature. This signature is securely transmitted and attached to the production work order file for production authorization.
- Account & Agency Details: Authenticated users provide their official name, government agency affiliation, email address, telephone number, and linked agency customer billing/shipping account numbers.
2. Diagnostics and Application Telemetry
The ACI Mobile App utilizes Google Firebase Analytics to collect anonymized diagnostic, crash, and screen-navigation metrics. This data is used solely to resolve technical bugs, monitor network latency, and improve app stability. No personally identifiable agency records are shared with or sold to marketing aggregators.
3. Advertisements and Commercial Marketing
The ACI Mobile App contains no commercial third-party advertisements and does not track user activity across unaffiliated third-party apps or websites for marketing purposes.
Account Deletion & Data Retention Policy
In accordance with Apple and Google Play data privacy standards, authorized users have the right to request the deletion of their mobile app user account and associated personal contact details.
